MOKUME
NEPENTHES 2025
Mokume
Using a combination of poetry, protest, and satire these prints confront the noise of contemporary life and the rise of a global technocracy. The title — meaning “wood eye” or “end grain” — refers to the pattern revealed when a block of wood is cut, a metaphor for consciousness itself: layers of experience, memory, and thought pressed into the surface.
Through type, ink, and pressure, I seeks to uncover what remains human — each print an act of deprogramming, a quiet resistance, and a reminder that spirit and soul endure even in the shadow of the machine.

Downfall Of the Idols
Alongside my studio practice, I also work as a curator. I curated exhibitions at NOT FOR SALE Gallery in 2024 & 2025 developing group exhibitions with artists who are committed to ‘colouring outline the lines’ and who seek to explore the boundaries and limitations of censorship in 2025 & 2026.
